The dead of night a harsh time of day where Corinne was from, but the cool night air of Brazil was almost therapeutic. Straight out of the hotel, she took a breath just for the sake of it. Casually stretching, she clinked her bracelets together, hanging a left toward a busier part of town.
Before she was even close, she passed by a rundown structure that, curiously enough, wasn't fenced off. It looked like it could have been a garage of some sort- and wide open. Worth a look? Probably. Dangerous? Not an issue these days. Rummaging through her bag, she pressed on.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew walked through the quiet streets which basically could compare to your average ghost town. Drew looked around the town seeing no kind of entertainment. Not being able to walk in the suns rays like some Vampires could really get boring. Normally, hunting down an innocent soul would be on his to-do list, but he was really trying for a different lifestyle. Drew knew that Raven hated his old and occasional way of living. When he first met her, he was a newborn; and a vicious one at that. He had once taken down an entire founders day party and devoured the entire household. But these days he found himself more friendly and trying to choke down animal blood. He was new to the animal blood, and he usually ended up gagging it all out as soon as he managed to drink it. Drew tilted his head to the left, a garage typed place stood unlocked and had almost an alluring aura. There was something about the place that called his name and would probably do some good to entertaining him.
He wandered into the garage and noticed someone else had already done the same. She didn’t seem to notice him yet, so he made sure his next footstep would echo throughout the garage. His left eyebrow raised as he stared at the blonde. Even in the dark of the night he could tell that this girl was in fact, good looking. And had an abnormally large chest. Drew shook his head from the thoughts flooding his head. He was married now, he wasn’t allowed to have those kind of ideas anymore. Maybe this girl would be friendly and entertain him for the night. “A girl like you shouldn’t be wandering the streets at this hour.” Drew said. He knew she was some kind of species because he could sense she was inhuman. But, He wanted to play along. After all, he was bored out of his skull. COMMENTS:

Not expecting a stranger's voice, she turned, thinking she had been caught. The realization that the man probably had as little of a reason to be there as she did calmed her nerves, but she kept a hand in her bag for the sake of it. He seemed civil, and he carried himself well enough. If anything, he wasn't from Brazil- she couldn't make out his hair color in the darkness, but it wasn't pitch-black.
"Maybe not," she agreed, "but it's easier to get around now than it would have been six hours ago, isn't it? I'll take my chances." She shrugged casually, still somewhat worried she may have been dealing with someone who was connected to the property. "You... don't own this place, do you?"

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew was right, this was way more fun then walking around the streets in search for something to do. And this girl was just setting herself up for him to play on for a little longer. He wanted to give her a little scare before he broke the news. In fact, they were both breaking into someone’s garage. Drew gave a frown and placed his hand against the garage door of the place. “That it is, but that doesn’t mean you should be scavenging through someone’s property.” He said as he walked over to a hanging light bulb. The light had a little chain hanging down from it and Drew grabbed hold of it, pulling it down to light up the large space.
“Yeah, I happen to own this place.” Drew muttered giving her a dark glare. His foot began to tap as he reached into his pocket, grabbing out a small journal. “And I also happen to be a cop. Now im gonna let you off easy with a ticket. But you deserve getting cuffed and thrown into a cell, if you ask me.” He said, beginning to look as if he were writing things on to the paper, but really he was drawing a stick person. He wouldn’t keep the joke up for long, in fact he would probably break it to her very soon. COMMENTS:

He owned the place... and he happened to be a cop. As unlikely as it was, especially considering his appearance and the fluency of his English, she couldn't be one to judge. People came from all walks of life; she scarcely had reason to be in Brazil herself. The police were never good news for her; on the few occasions she actually needed them, they weren't there fast enough... and now, here she was, staring down a ticket.
She answered the leer with a legitimately apologetic sigh. "Money isn't much of an issue- I'll be in the city for a while, so I'll have it paid as soon as I'm back at my apartment," she lied flatly, disguising a more morbid thought. Next time this happens, I'm entitling myself to a fight.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire He watched her carefully begin to explain herself and he nodded carefully, still keeping up the act. But in the next few seconds she was about to figure out. He stepped forward and ripped off the paper out of his notebook, and handed it out to her. “Just, don’t let it happen again.” He said in a firm, deep voice. The paper he had given her was not some made up ticket but it was a stick person with a speech bubble above its head. In the speech bubble it said “Scared you, didn’t I?”.
The corners of Drews lips curved up into a large smile and he began to laugh. “You should have seen your face.” He said, tilting his head back and still laughing briefly. As he tilted it back down the laughter had stopped but his smile was still there. “I know it was mean, but you set yourself up for it. Im Drew, by the way.” He said stepping back a few steps to give her back her personal space. COMMENTS: Sorry its so short

And, she'd been fooled; likely not as badly as she was before, but there was no getting around a fact. The stick figure registered in Corinne's mind as an ironic shock before it registered as a relief. With the way she laughed, it could have been either one. Sliding the note into her bag discreetly, she took a moment to sigh and smile.
"I know I did," she admitted. Out of courtesy, she wanted to give a name back, but hesitated to use a real one. It wasn't because she particularly distrusted Drew, but rather... as funny as the incident was in hindsight, it should have registered at a sobering experience. "I'm Ashley," she decided on saying, "It's a pleasure."
((It's fine ^^ . I've come out with shorter; my muse kinda vanished last month, but I'm trying to stay active- I can't tell how it's working out, though. o.o ))

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire He knew he had taken advantage of the fact that he was unbelievably bored out of his mind. But something still caused him to wonder what she was doing in here? Drew took a brief look around at all the stuff in the garage. None of it even looked worthy enough to swipe. Most of it to him was junk and he would easy get something much better just going to buy it at a store. Well, a vampires powers allow one to compel a human quite easily, so more expensive purchases sometimes ended in getting a 100% discount.
“Ashley, ay?” He said with a smile. “Well, nice to meet you Ashley. Drew looked at her and tilted his head to the side,. “But in all seriousness, what are you doing here?” He asked. This wasn’t his particular spot to stop on a late night stroll. He preferred hanging around in a bar for as long as they stayed open, then venture off to the park or a lake. Those kind of places were easier to relax in and one could get a lot of writing of art work done. Though, most nights he spent were with his lovely wife, Raven. COMMENTS:

Not having a solid, acceptable reason to respond with, Corinne opened with an innocent shrug. "Just out of curiosity more than anything else." She didn't even have to look back at the place to reinforce her point. "If a building's kept in that condition, it's probably abandoned." She didn't see much worth-while about the place herself, but she was only looking at the outside. "Abandoned buildings might as well be public places. No one will ever stop you from going into one unless they're hiding something there."
Just after her answer left her mouth, she remembered her bag. "...Or unless they come up with something witty to try stopping you with." She grinned, with the speech bubble above the stick figure still fresh in her mind.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Her reasons seemed legitimate and the chat was more awkward than anything. Drew regretted letting the joke slip away so fast. But she was his only source of entertainment for the night, why run away ? He sighed for a moment, looking behind him as she spoke. “You’re probably right. And I guess its just more a look out of curiosity than anything?” He added.
“Something witty. It was pure genius.” He laughed, thinking about the stunt he pulled. He was a good actor, and could get away with things quite easily. It was just one of those things you pick up after an extended life. “But, I understand if you decline my offer.” He began, brining his attention directly back to the woman. “But I really have nothing better to do and right here is rather boring. You up for a quite bite to eat? I know a little café type place that is still open.” He asked, tilting his head slightly.

He seemed to be catching on quickly- or at least paying attention more than most people did. She decided it wasn't the time to share her grievances about most of the world, though; answering the question was easier. "Exactly. Whether it's a great reason or not, I have the night to myself for the most part."
The offer surprised her, but she didn't dismiss it right away."Nothing better to do, hm?" She chuckled lightly. "You're starting to sound like me." Corinne was still curious about the building, but what good would it do her, really? "Sounds like fun," she agreed. "Besides, the building's not going anywhere- and, if there was anything dangerous inside, I might have just made my life two days longer."

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew kept on a face as he was a strong character who excelled in everything he put his mind to. But lately he was feeling a little down on his luck. Always, he told Ravenna that he would hunt down Scarlet, and rip her heart from her very chest. But how could he possibly when Scarlet was stronger and basically had an army behind her. In all honesty, Drew was terrified. But his fears were directed on only Raven. If anything happened to her his life would have no meaning. An eternity became boring after a while and he only had one thing to look forward to on a daily basis. If that one thing was ever harmed or tempered with, he wouldn’t be able to live with himself. The only reason he was stuck in this boring little town was because he and Raven had a plan of moving around a lot and avoid Scarlet until they both could take her on. He was really caught in a bad romance. And here he was, bored out of his mind, nothing to do and asking a random woman out to a restaurant so he could be entertained. Maybe she would even be decent enough to befriend? “Nothing wrong with that. I always break into places. Why do you think I came to check this place out?” He laughed.
He was delighted that she took him up on the offer and he motioned her to start walking. “Well, the nights can be long. Most people don’t tend to be night owls these days. On occasion you find the odd insomniac.” He said raising his left eyebrow at her before he began to out of the garage. “Lets just hope it is fun. I’ve been needing to get out and have fun. I’m stuck in a pool of drama.” He finished. COMMENTS:

Corinne gave off a cordial shrug. "Well, you could have had a reason that was a bit deeper than that," she countered. "Well, I suppose I'm not exactly one to talk- I was doing the same exact thing, after all."
"They can be, sometimes, can't they?" She waved a hand. "Well, most people who are awake after twelve are either kids on the Internet, who would be inside, vampires, if you're into that sort of thing, or criminals, which..." She hadn't forgotten where they were standing or what they were both about to do. "Well, I think that might be the one we fall under."
It wasn't often people came to her with their problems, but it seemed to be more often with new friends these days than old ones- maybe because of all the time she spent on the roads. "A pool of drama, hm?" She gave Drew an understanding look. "I'll have to do my best to make this fun, then!" She smiled softly.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew was used to people telling him to get out of their face. He was normally a tad overbearing at times. But what do you expect? Place anyone in an isolated area with nothing for entertainment and see what comes out of it. Its almost as if you were deserted on an abandoned island with nothing but the odd coconut to amuse you. After a while, a man could go insane. “Aw, come on. Everyone likes to get themselves into trouble sometimes.” He said with a smirk.
When she mentioned vampires, Drew rolled his eyes. “Aw, come on. You’re not one of those people who chant that supernatural beings are actually real?” He asked. “I mean, it really goes against all the biological facts that we have figured out.” He said with a smirk. “Unless there are just some things we can’t explain yet.” He shrugged his shoulders. Drew despised the fact that people these days were walking around knowing these facts. Scarlet, the vampire who he was running away from was also in the same way, the vampire he had to obey. Her orders would be an automatic snap of the girls neck. But as much as he fought to preserve the secret, he didn’t think that the girl should die.
“Haha, then with that said. I’m getting myself a drink when we get there. I could really use one.” COMMENTS:

Drew had a valid point; scarcely anyone - Corinne would go as far as to say no one - had ever lived a life longer than ten years and not gotten themselves into trouble or at least wanted to at least once. "Oh, absolutely," she agreed. "I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, I'm just saying that there are a lot of people in Brazil who might think of it as a bad thing, if that makes any sense."
The comment about vampires seemed to upset him a bit. It was almost as if he was used to having this conversation and still didn't take kindly to it. "Well, I'm not personally," she replied, "but I've been reading the news where I'm from." She shrugged. "Honestly, I don't know what to believe anymore. Newspapers lie all the time- this might not be any different."
Casually stretching, she allowed Drew to lead the way. "It'll pass over, though. That place you mentioned sounds more appealing right now, anyway."
