Xena grinned a bit, "That would be a good thing. The bad thing, however is that you would be bleeding and I doubt you could magically stop the bleeding." Pausing for a few sonds to pray to god that Corinne won't get suspicious when Xena accidentally said "magically."
"So I guess I'll need two apples then," Xena dumped everything onto the counter, except the apples. She got out a cutting board and a small knife and began to cut the apples into 8ths. After placing them in a bowl, Xena opened a can of Sprite and poured it into the same bowl. She uncapped the container of caramel and cream.
"Ok this might look disgusting... but it's not." Xena reassured Corinne. "The sprite gives the apple a soda affect so its like apple cider. You take the apple, of course, dip it into the caramel, then the cream since caramel is thicker and stickier than cream." After showing her an example and eating it, she waited for Corinne to try it out.

"Ha." She didn't let off much of a response besides that. If she needed to stop bleeding, she could just force the bleeding to stop- after all, her blood was a fluid, and a particularly malleable one at that. Well, that was... ironic of her, I suppose, she noted. Her eyes followed the sprite's path into the bowl more closely than any passing thought.
Corinne even sensed a bit of unsureness in the way she explained her recipe, but that was easy enough to fix. "It can't be that bad," she insisted. "Everything you're putting into it is food, right? That must mean it's edible." With that, she began to follow suit.

"Mhm, or else I'd be dead by now," Xena joked sourly. The statement was partly true since she did get food poisoning once in her life, from eating a mouse. She continued to eat her snack slowly, savoring the sweetness in her mouth.
"So, Corinne, why are you staying in a place like this?" Xena's curiosity got to her. After coming here months, she knew that the visitors were usually just passing through or staying for some sort of event. However, Corinne seemed to be here for another reason, or maybe she was wrong. Whatever the reason was, she was as curious as a cat.
The thought of a cat sparked her unfocused mind and eyed the pile of cloth. She was tempted to morph and bury herself under it but she thought better about it, since she was around a non-magic user.
OOC: I have no idea what the last part was about xD

"I'm not here for any particularly great reason," she explained. "Wyoming just has affordable hotels; I decided to stop in and figure out where I'm headed afterward." She shrugged nonchalantly. "It was either here or a straight trip to New York, and I wasn't ready for that yet."
Digging in, she began to like what she tasted. "It's not half bad," she admitted. "Where did you find out about this? Online?" Perhaps the Internet wasn't the best subject to bring up when she personally tried to distance herself from it, but even she couldn't change the past on a whim. She had said what she had said- besides, she may not have even made a mistake.
((It's k- it happens xD. ))

"Nope... A really, really good friend taught me how to make it after seeing how much I enjoyed it," Xena's smile faded a bit but quickly grinned before she could feel depressed.
Quickly changing the subject before an awkward silence begins to form, Xena noticed a pretty bracelet dangling from Corinne's arm. "Your bracelet is so pretty," Xena felt a little disgusted since she was talking "girl" talk which was one of the things she hates, but it was better than being depressed. "Where'd you get it from? Or did someone special give it to you?" She winked at her. "I wish I could get something like that but it'll usually get stolen or I'd lose it."

"I see. Well, whoever it tell them a friend of yours said thank you." Reading her expression, she didn't press with questions about the friend- it may have been a sore subject. Even if she did, the subject would have changed quickly; it was the first time in a while anyone had noticed her bracelets.
She giggled lightly. "Which one? Not that they're much different." She clinked them together one more time. "I... don't have anyone like that at the moment, sadly," she admitted. That was the one drawback to traveling as much as she did- doing it alone. "But," she changed the subject back, "I had these made at a specialty place in New Jersey. I'd usually lose things like this too, but I feel like I can't go without these."

Xena flashed a sympathetic look, "Maybe not now, but in the future you will." She watch Corinne clink the bracelets. "Mmm... I cant really say the same thing about my weapons..." She picked them up and placed it near the pile of things.
"When i lose my arrows, I would usually spend 3 days looking for them, then i would make new ones if i cant find them." She drew and arrow and touched the tip, making sure it was needle sharp, which made her bleed a bit.
"If I lose my bow I would spend a week looking for it, while making one at the same time so I won't have to miss any events." She unstrung her bow, since she won't be needing it for a while.
Then she moved over to her katana. "My katana is a bit different. I would spend months, looking for it like a rabid lady. After 2-5 months i would give up and buy or forge new ones." She took a piece of cloth and wiped the blade. "I'm a person who gives up on stuff, even though they're pretty important."
OCC: this sounds depressing O.O >.> >.<

She nodded understandingly. "I think I know what you're feeling," she assumed. "Before the twelfth century, samurai believed that their souls were in their weapons. I know that was hundreds of years ago, but really... people get attached to swords. It's almost like the attachment is a natural thing."
Part of what Xena had said escaped her for a moment. Forge? "...You can make a blade like that?" She asked. Corinne had definitely stumbled upon the right person this time. Maybe having people bump into her for the sake of meeting them deserved to become an entirely new social strategy on its own.

"Samurais... all my weapons are what samurais would use before they used gunpowder," Xena smiled and pointed to her Katana and Yumi bow. "I'm in love with japanese history."
The hint of interest in Corinne's voice sparked another curiosity in Xena. "Yea, I forge them at a workshop when I have the time. I think its a slightly better than buying one since i can customize it to my liking." She showed Corinne a purple gem embedded in the hilt. "It balances the sword, it can act like a distraction, and i'm more used to heavier things."
Xena decided to get straight to the point, instead of holding back the question, "So whats up? You spoke in a more upbeat voice."

"All weapons that samurai used before gunpowder, hm?" She was impressed. If she was going to mention her Beretta at all, now was probably the time, but it just seemed pointless. Not only could she potentially be starting a debate, but she would also be pointing out the fact that she was carrying a gun. "I'm in love with history in general, so I can relate."
"That's pretty amazing," she admitted bluntly. "Well, I asked because I might be pretty interested in buying one or two from you sometime." Her eyes floated over the blade one more time. "If that's alright with you, I mean."

Xena smiled a bit bigger, this is where she'll be able to shine. "Yea sure. I have nothing better to do these days." A pile of paper was placed in front of her with a pencil. "So, do you want me to recreate a sword? Or do you want a totally random sword that fits you?" She began to interrogate Corinne.
"Do you want any special designs? Or just plain and simple?" She continued. "Oh and it'll take at least a week or so to finish it." Ok... I'll admit this... I AM SUPER WEIRD RIGHT NOW... blargh what sort of magic does Corinne have? Being able to open me up this much...

That fast? Even though she didn't particularly want anything that minute, she appreciated Xena's enthusiasm. She waved a hand with a welcoming grin. "I'll let you know when I think of something," she answered. "Probably something pre-Edo, though- just for the heck of it."
The second part of the question was what intrigued her, though. "A weapon that fits me?" She wondered what Xena meant by that. Surely, there could be any number of factors in the design of a sword; everything from the weight to the length to the curvature of the blade was important, but she wanted Xena's editorial on it.

"Yea a weapon that fits you," Xena said with a bigger smile. "Everyone has a soul weapon." She tried to think of a better way to explain it. "Do you know those sleep number beds? The ones u can adjust so you get a well deserve rest? Well its like that."
Xena unsheathed her Katana, revealing a blade tinted purple. "Ok, so, my favorite color is purple but have a blade that's completely purple is weird... to me." Carefully, she flourished it. "my blade is at least 2-5 pounds, i dont really know, but the weight is comfortable and balanced when i wield it. The fact that i like how Katanas are sharp, dangerous weapons gives it's shape."
Then, Xena sheathed it back before she got carried away. "All we basically have to do is find out the weight. length, and thickness you're most comfortable with. Then you can design it later..."

She didn't let it show, but Corinne was slightly alarmed that Xena's blade was drawn. After the initial second of unease was through, however, she appreciated the make of the weapon. The blade shone like any other steel, despite its brilliant tint. She obviously had an easy time handling it- at least in Corinne's eyes.
"So, it's not as much about taking everything into account as a few basics, then," she observed. Weight, length, and thickness... the three major points stuck with her. ...You know, that might make a decent idea for a fundamental spell.

Xena's mouth twitched at the fear Corinne had; being a bit sadistic it was hard not to smile as fear swept through her friend. "You're getting the idea of it," she said encouragingly, probably to give a fake reason to smile. The smile faded when she placed her sword back to where it belonged; laying on the wall near the pile of cloths.
"So tell me when you want to make the sword... If you are," Xena simply said while sitting down on her bed. "Anyways... since i consider you as a friend--which is an honor because i don't trust lots of people-- tell me a few things about yourself?" She was super curious about Corinne; she seems like an interesting and fun person to be around, especially when Xena was bored and needed someone to talk to.
