This is a beginner's guide for, well, beginners. Here, I'll explain everything you need to know to start off around here.
First off...
Power Levels
Here at JAI, we have a set of power levels. When you create a character, they will start off as WEAK.
Each time you post in one of the roleplaying boards, you will gain a post count. Your number of posts determine what power level you are at. So, the more you roleplay, the stronger you become.
These are the power levels:
Weak Zero Posts
Promising Twenty-Five Posts
Average Fifty Posts
Strong One Hundred Posts
Powerful Two Hundred Posts
Deadly Three Hundred Posts
There are ways to gain some extra posts without having to roleplay. Like the 60,000 Character Count challenge, which you can find HERE. Be warned, though...you may lose your insanity if you attempt the 60,000 CC challenge!
Face Claims
When you create a character, you need to pick a Face Claim. First, check the Taken & Reserved Face Claims, HERE.
Your Face Claim helps others determine what your character looks like, since a picture is so much more accurate than a description. Your Face Claim can be an actor/actress, a model...anyone!
In your character's PROFILE, you need to get a picture of your Face Claim and put it in your SIGNATURE.
You can make a signature on Picnik.com, then upload it to Photobucket.com or Tinypic.com and copy the "DIRECT LINK". Once you've done that, paste the "DIRECT LINK" into your SIGNATURE, between img tags, like so:

Signatures should be no wider than 500 pixels and no taller than 300 pixels.
Avatars MUST be 100 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall.
