It was a dark night, perfect for prowling. The stars were unseen from the light of the city, but it was no matter. She rarely noticed them but for an incantation. It was the middle of the night - she wasn't quite sure what time exactly, but she was the mischief hours. Passing by a shop, she paused to check herself in the darkened glass. Red lips, long hair, dark pencil dress. She was the picturesque modern witch, and licking her teeth, she turned Satisfied. Tonight was a good night. The world was at her fingertips - quite literally - and anything good could happen. A boy. She saw him from across the street, walking opposite to her. Pale skin, dark hair, brooding.. he was about as subtle as fangs to the face. She rolled her eyes. But he was attractive, sure. And the night was ...relatively young.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew had been wandering down the shady streets of North America in search for something to do. A night whilst his delicate girlfriend, and soon to be wife became utterly boring at times. On nights like these, some days Drew missed the old days in which a murder of an innocent civilian would be the first thing his instincts would speak. But Drew knew that he had been changed for the better, changed to live a longer life. Now, that being said; sometimes hunger couldn’t completely be controlled. But that’s who Drew was as a vampire. If his family still knew him they would be surprised how much a transition into a beast could change a man. In the hour of the night, only few wandered the streets. Most people remained kept up in their bed, and allowed their dreams to let loose. His footsteps made subtle noises on to the sidewalk as he kept his hands in his pockets. He heard the sound of footsteps coming in from somewhere behind him. With a quick glance, he looked behind his shoulder, noticing a blonde woman walking behind him. As he looked, their eyes seemed to meet and he couldn’t help but feel as if she had been stalking him. But it was probably just a crazy coincidence of a woman walking behind. The only reason someone would follow a vampire was if they hadn’t known and wanted to mug him or if they were a hunter. Drew was kind though, and decided to simply ask the girl before he made silly judgements. His feet stopped from walking as he turned his body to her slowly. “Hey.” He said slowly, with his head slightly tilted. “I think it’s a little late for a lady like yourself to be walking these parts.” He said. The street hadn’t been one from the high-end part of town. It was more of the grungy old side where most of the horrific murder stories took place. OUTFIT: Click Here COMMENTS:

She grinned at his words. Warnings. She was not quite as ostentatious, as her kind seemed to be. But if he couldn't tell, that was just another tick in her box. "I'm sure." She reached a hand to her neck, running a finger along the long chain. "But then you assume that I'm without protection." He was tall, and too put together to be rugged. His outfit was as meticulously picked as hers, she noted. "Fact is: the night is mine to take, why not stroll along a near-deserted downtown street?"

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew gave the girl a quick smile before backing off to take another quick look at her. Turns out he had assuming her to be human was the wrong thing. In fact, she was no ordinary human. She seemed to be so, but with a darker essence. “Ahh, I see.” He said giving her a quick smirk. His head tilted as his mind wondered if she were a threat, or if she was to be left alone. A threat would be easy to handle. A quick bite to the neck and she would be quickly taken care of. “You know, you shouldn’t give yourself away so easily to a random stranger on the streets. You never know who they could really be. I could have a nice, innocent face but I really could be your odd Jack the ripper serial killer.” He said keeping his eyes glued on to her and waiting for her reply. OUTFIT: Click Here COMMENTS:

"Innocent," she echoed, her eyes narrowed in the cruel semblance of a smile. "Oh, you really would wish, wouldn't you?" She took a few steps past him, her short heels tapping loudly on the pavement in the quiet of the night. Patting his shoulder, rubbing his deltoid just briefly as she passed by him, "You don't have quite an innocent face, dear. It's more along the lines of 'tortured.'" She spun back to look at him. She realized that she had started to circle him, slowly, a lioness with her prey. He was easy. Transparent, almost. He didn't trust her, but that was just as well. She had tried the innocent approach once, babying herself down to seem less threatening to those she was aiming for. That act ended soon, when she realized that all she got out of it were a few lusting and childish frat boys. But there was no fright in his eyes, only angst. Recognizable, easily, especially among his kind. "Nightwalker, why lash out so?" She tilted her head, with a brief and fleeting smile. "I haven't threatened you at all, and here you are, threatening to cut my stomach like a British whore."
Oh, he was fun, too fun to let go of quickly.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew watched closely at the woman. How hadn’t he had seen it before? Her face was gleaming with some other trait. A humanly trait but yet, something far from human. His eyes narrowed as she began to question his innocent appearance. She called him tortured? But how could she possibly know that? I mean, him and Raven were running from a vampire who could kill them with a flick of her fingers? It must come with her odd witch powers, but Drew decided to play along. “Well honey, you think you know so much about me. Please, humour me and tell me more” He said with a smirk on his face. Before you know it the two had been circling each other as if one were waiting for the kill. But Drew knew that he was stronger and the fight wouldn’t last. Her words were all talk but tickled an odd friendly attempt of conversing. In some sense, most creatures often grew cautious of each other at first, making sure they weren’t a threat to each other. The prowling dance around each other slowly stopped as they stood face to face in the middle of a empty street. Drew’s head slightly tilted to the side as she questioned his threats. But the thought only caused the corners of his lips to curve up into a smile. “My threats are representing who holds the dominance here. As I walk, these are my grounds and not to be invaded by a little cackling witch with her black cats and wooden sticks. I can sense it darling, you really shouldn’t give off such a strong vibe.” He said with a vicious smirk. “And if you dare return a threat..” He said before pausing and letting his smile fade. “Lets just say your words would quickly fade into the dark of the night.” He finished. "Much bark, but little bite." She smiled. Her white teeth were almost as blinding as his, blending in with her ivory skin and aryan-blonde hair. "I haven't threatened you at all." She stopped walking, relaxing her willowy limbs. "Why are you so on edge?" He wasn't a threat, but why start a fight? It wasn't like she hadn't come prepared. She was walking around the streets at night, after all, in the middle of the "bad" part of town, where the grickle-grass grew. She had tricks up her sleeve, so to speak, because her stick-thin arms couldn't be expected to do a push-up, nevermind stave off an attack. But she didn't come here to battle, she hadn't even intended to exchange such malicious banter. But oh, her power was in her words. Attacks took time, reckoning. A word could be spoken, even just two to rhyme, that could paralyze an army. The pen was mightier than the sword, the mouth quicker than the claw. And this man was acting quite like a beast, circling her, watching her with his eyes. On edge. Cautious. "Or if you rather, you can stop the melodramatics and we can chat over a drink. Or," she paused to look at the sky. Still dark. "a very early breakfast." They would make an odd pair, sauntering into a pancake house at the dead of night. "That is, unless you don't eat." She raised her eyebrows, lips pinched slightly.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire “You’re just lucky you caught me in a good mood. I wouldn’t let many taunt me.” He said. The night seemed to be dark and cause each other to be dark silhouettes with a slight glow to each others face from the single street light hovering a few feet from where they stood. It was the dark kind of night which Drew loved; a pitch black blanket covering the skies. “I’m on edge because..” He began, but paused to think of the appropriate words. “One could say that I’m on the run from a beast.” He finished and gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. It was in his blood not to be terrified by that very statement. He in fact was on the run but didn’t fret for his own life. If his beloved, Ravenna was touched though, that was a whole different story. For her, He really would throw himself in front of a train to save her. He blinked once. In a sense he was a beast, blood thirsty even. But he had freshly eaten so hunger didn’t take over his body, sending him to lunge at an irregular speed. After he had eaten he was a friendly guy, even a good guy at that. And that was what Raven had taught him. He didn’t have to focus his negativity on everything. He could focus it one thing to ensure that he didn’t attack an entire village, as he once did. He was changed into more of a gentle creature with a softer side. But not once would he ever lay a hand on a sip of animal blood. That stuff didn’t cause the body to excel in energy like human blood and it tasted absolutely revolting.
His eyebrow raised as she asked him out for a drink and breakfast. He knew that possibly she wouldn’t be something of terrible danger. And he could use a drink to take the edge off of his moody attitude. “Id love to. And, I can eat, but I prefer not too. Things tend to taste like cardboard these days. But a drink, I will do.” He said with a laugh. “Lead the way?” He asked, not knowing where the place was. OUTFIT: Click Here COMMENTS:

She passed further on the sidewalk, leading the way, as he had beckoned her to do. She didn't know the street well, being just a traveler, but a good spot was easy enough to find. "Reveal a cubbyhole, fruit of the vine, light the path, these desires of mine," she incanted. There was no use, really, to hide her mumblings and rhymes, he knew her secret. A thin stream of light shot out of the air, a few feet in front of her, streaking like the scratch of a pencil towards a streetlight, then out to a corner. She turned towards him, looking over her shoulder. "There we are, that was simple." Fumbled in her pocketbook. She had money on her, enough to cover any relative expense. But what was that he said about a beast? He walked behind her, and she mused. Werewolf, probably. The lycan and vampires were notorious for despising one another, and he could have irritated a particularly nasty one. In which case, he might as well enjoy this drink, it could be his last. No matter, she didn't anticipate anything long-term with this lanky male. A one-night stand at the least, maybe a friendship at the most. But this thing.. It kept him on edge, quite obviously. Tense, angsty. She rolled her eyes where he couldn't see. If he was powerful enough, he would be able to protect himself, not worry about making enemies. Or he could have been careful, managing not to irritate whatever he was in conflict with. That's why she used enchanted rowan shavings on distraught lovers past; removed aggression towards the witch who had enchanted it. "And in the meantime, you can tell me about this beast."

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire His eyes widened as she began to chant some odd kind of witchy spell. This had been the first witch Drew ever met. He heard of them all the time from other vampires who had become allies with them. But Drew liked to work alone and quarantine himself from any other creature; until now. Lately he found himself befriending more and more people around the globe, which hadn’t been his original plan. But in a sense it was a good thing. The more and more people he had keeping an eye out for him and Ravenna, the better. It was no use making more enemies who could help hunt him down and kill him. The witches spell caused a large beam of light to hover in front of them and lead the way. The light lit the street glimmering on both of their pale faces. She was a pale girl with light blonde hair; but a pretty girl. Drew raised his eyebrow before speaking. “You know, lighting things up with your little.. Witch powers, might not be the smartest thing. If someone saw you, you’re busted and advertised on the side of milk cartons for the rest of your life. It will be like a modern day witch hunt.” He said completely serious but with a slight giggle after a pause. Walking to find a restaurant would have been simple seeing as Drew had stayed in this town a few times.
“The beast.” He chuckled and shook his head. “Im not scared of her like I should be. Me and my wife, Raven, got ourselves in trouble a few days ago. A sadistic vampire named Scarlet is on our tracks. For some reason that I’m not clear about, she stopped the wedding causing me probably the worst heartbreak of my life. She twists her words and basically drills them into you. Anyways, she lied about quite a few things and fled. Me and Raven found each other and are on the run. This vampire is insane and stronger than you could ever know. She has plans for me, plans to torture me in front of Ravenna then possibly kill her along with me. But don’t worry, she isn’t here now. I would be able to sense such an evil presence. But I cant help from still being cautious. You never know who could be working for her. If I go kill her, she has many who will gang up on me and kill me. I cant have that, nor have anyone lay a hand on Ravenna.” He said, not completely understanding why he just told a complete stranger his problems. It was unlike him to open himself up so easily. In fact, he never liked opening himself up to the world. Drew smiled a little before trying to get the subject off of himself. “But what about you? What are you doing around this shit hole of a city?” He asked. OUTFIT: Click Here COMMENTS:

She shot him a glance over her shoulder. His comment was unnecessary and exaggerated and she tossed her head back to its normal alignment: nose in the air, straightforward. Rolling her eyes, she watched the spark of light. It wasn't even that big, a small, white-glowing speck that raced along a few feet in front of her. It could be attributed to a friendly firefly in the season had been right, but as it was right now, it was just a little ember streaking through the darkness like a knife. Hardly a brightly-burning beacon. Although.. she laughed inwardly at his further assumption that she could not handle herself. Please. She was a witch, ruthless, rabid, and severely lacking morals. Besides that, she was a deflection specialist-witch. A wave of her hand and an invisible wall would protect her physical form from any sort of attack. And the vials of rowan memory wipe in her purse.. please.
But Olivia did listen, she did pay attention to his story. Enough to hear the word "wife." Wife? Wife. Well, f***. Why did she pick the wedded ones by habit? Well, after she had her way with the vampire, she would make use of that rowan potion. Suddenly, an onslaught of memory. A hand, brushing her face softly. She was younger, longer hair, softer cheekbones. His hand was cold, his face as white as hers. Leaned in slowly to kiss, pulled her next to him... and she stopped herself, perturbed by the thoroughness and suddenness with which her past had overcome her. "But don’t worry, she isn’t here now. I would be able to sense such an evil presence.." The man's voice reminded her of the present, dragged her from the down pillows and soft lighting to the dark of the urban night, the rot of the city. The marker had stopped half a block ahead, hovering next to the light of a sign The Red Baron. She laughed out loud at the irony as he asked her about her life. She turned to him, motioned to the diner, and continued walking. Stopping at the door, she waited until he was close. Didn't let him through, all it took was a flick of the wrist to set up a deflection field over the lock. "I'm a traveler. Was a librarian, but there's no point in staying in a godawful hoedown town when you can travel the world on a whim, pack as much as you need into a suitcase, and create unlimited money out of thin air."
But it was lonely. That was one thing she couldn't synthesize for herself, another human being. Beating heart under that flesh, soft eyes, softer brain. Too stupid and slow to really understand, and so very fragile. Only a pound of pressure would break them. But.. yet, so precious. Even if not truly "human," another being, a humanoid with a mind and a body to share, that was what she could not make, could not keep.

DREW ANTHONY HALLOW Male • Taken • Vampire Drew watched the spark of light travel through the air. It was odd and unlike anything he had ever seen before. In movies, these things happened all the time. But in reality, it wasn’t everyday that he stumbled upon a creature much like herself. In fact, he knew it was a vicious monster at times but the idea of magic still kind of freaked him out. It meant that there was something in the world that we still couldn’t completely make sense of. The ability to form a reaction with the focus of the mind. Drew focused on it. The silence probably indicated that she didn’t like to talk about her abilities or maybe he slightly pissed her off. Wither way he decided to change the subject. He was always known to say the oddest things when he was frightened by things. “So, uh. Did I mention ive never seen anything like that before.” He asked, pointing over at the spark in the air. To be honest, the fact that someone could do something that could possibly harm him in any way, freaked him out. He didn’t assume that Olivia would try that on him, but Scarlet had witches fighting on her side.
They made it to the dingy, wooden doors of the restaurant. Olivia walked in front beginning to do some sort of thing but Drew disregarded her. He walked over to the windows to look inside. It was an average looking place, not dirty but not a five star restaurant. But Drew liked simplicity and to him, it looked perfect. “Hmm, Nice choice.” He said with a smile. She turned back towards him for the umpteenth time that night. Man was slow, took his time despite professing to have a monster on his tail. She ignored his comment and grabbed his hand - wife or no - leading him to a table. His hand was cold, naturally, and it gave her shivers that resonated beyond just his temperature. She dropped it as they got close, pulling a chair out and leaning back in it. The waiter should be over relatively soon, she supposed. "And what exactly are you doing around a town like this at a time like this, hm? I don't see any wife clinging to you, anyway." God, but there was hope yet.
