Nathan let a long, dragged out sigh escape his lips, “You just don’t understand. I think its possible that I may have got addicted to adrenaline rushes. I mean, the feeling is just exhilarating! But maybe next time you go to France, I may tag along.” He said enthusiastically at first but his tone ended confused. He never thought of what it would be like to go to France and he usually denied so he wouldn’t lose his job over it. He also didn’t know if any of the locals around even spoke a word of English. He assumed that they could though. The English language was slowly spreading itself over every country, nearly everyone knew even a few words of English.
Growing up, Nathan lived in quite a wealthy family, with high-end dinner parties. To this day he still loves his parents to death, but they all had sort of a strange conversation. His father was too bound to his work to have a decent conversation and his mother would pretend to listen but really be thinking about what polish would best suit her nails. They’re relationship with Nathan was basically to offer him up money, help host the dinner parties, and be a picture perfect son. When they found out that he was headed off to university the house filled with laughter as if it was a family movie night. They never had any faith in what Nate did with his time and doubted the fact that he could even pass a course. So here he was, a normal middle class man lazing around with the best girl in the entire universe. And things could never be any better. She was the first to ever listen to him and trust him, and he would do or tell her anything on his mind. If there was a moving bullet, he would use his own body as a shield over him. He was her as special, and possibly the closest thing he would ever have. “Thank you. You’ve always been a little book worm” He said.
His lips grazed soft over hers as both of their lips touched in a close-knit smile. A feeling formed in the pit of his stomach that he didn’t want to push aside. He was drawn in by her like he had been for a long time. Even upon first meeting her he was drawn in, only to push the feeling aside. He drew closer and brushed his lips against hers again, letting a shallow whimper out as well. His fingers laced under the back of her shirt slowly pulling it up her back to expose more of her fair, porcelain skin tone. He couldn’t help himself but look down at his stomach. His shirt rising up and down from the upraise of his breaths. His heart pounded against his chest but a hunger inside him that built up for a long period of time urged for more. As he looked up at her, but something had taken place that he wasn’t completely aware of. She pushed herself off of him and bolted out of the room. Nathans eyes grew large as he sat for a moment motionless. Perhaps she didn’t feel the same way and wanted nothing more than to be friends. He pushed himself up off the couch and took a few deep breaths. Maybe this night had gone overboard with new experiences? He huffed and pulled himself off the couch feeling a little disoriented on his feet and went towards the hallway.
She had run off into the bathroom as if he really harmed and upset her. But he was speechless, misguided and muddled. He pressed his back against the bathroom door and slid down it, sitting on the other side of the closed door. “Amelia-” He called out loud enough to hear in the next room. “I’m really sorry, I-” He said, pausing again trying to reword his sentences. “I guess I shouldn’t have done what I did. I just, needed to get some feelings out towards you that I’ve bottled up since we first met. I’m sorry, it wont happen again.” He said, bringing his knees up and wrapping his hands loosely around them.

Amelia paced in a small circle in the bathroom, almost sure to worry a hole into the floor as she did. She wrung her hands through her hair, occasionally pulling a few strands between her fingers to twirl anxiously. Her heart threatened to break from her chest with all her panic, but she couldn’t bring herself to calm down just yet.
What was wrong with her? She honestly didn’t know how she didn't notice the feeling before, and prayed to some unknown force that Nathan hadn’t noticed it as well. How would she even explain what took place? Amelia cursed herself softly before worrying her thumb between her teeth.” What have I done?” she asked softly before moving to the mirror.
Her eyes, now a pale lilac, were still regressing back to the clear blue hue she was accustomed to.” Maybe I can stall for a few more minutes.” She said to herself softly as she leaned away from the mirror once more. In the meantime, she still hadn’t thought of anything to tell Nathan.
What if he had seen the change? She doubted that he would take the truth very easily. Not because of what she was, but the fact that she had been keeping it from him for so long. Of course he probably didn’t even know what it even meant to be a siren, and she could get away with twisting the meaning around, she knew in her heart it would still be a lie, and she couldn’t bring herself to even try to lie to him.
But what would she do?
Amelia’s choices grew slimmer when she heard Nathan call to her from the other side of the door. Listening to him made her heart break even more.
He actually blamed himself? She couldn’t allow it.
“Nathan, it’s not you.” She said immediately after he had finished. After not receiving a reply, she continued.” I wanted…I still want….I’ve had the same feelings for you for a long time, since the moment I finally knew I could trust you, probably even before that…but there’s….. I’m not….I’m not normal….” She began, her voice becoming shaky. She leaned against her back against the door, looking up at nothing as she tried to find the right words. Amelia slowly slid down the door, unknowingly repeating Nathan’s actions, and wrapped her arms around her knees. She sighed heavily, hoping he was still there as she continued to speak to him.
“ Nathan…I know that I can tell you everything….and I will one day….but there’s just…” she paused, looking for the right words. “ There are still things that you do don’t know about me…things that could hurt you, and I would never….I won’t hurt you like that okay? I want to tell you….but now just….it just isn’t the right time…” she said, beginning to choke up a she spoke, the thought of what may come if she had let it get too far causing her to fight back tears. Amelia sniffled softly as she continued, knowing that had to finish. “There are things about me that I can’t explain right now, and they could hurt you and I don’t want that….I would never want that…so please just trust me and don’t take this to heart okay?” she pleaded with him through the door.” I promise as soon as I can, I’ll tell you everything but I just…I just need you to wait…” she said, wiping her face of the few tears that spilled. “And promise you’ll stop thinking this is your fault….I know how freaking stubborn you are and if I have to I’ll kick the guilt out of you.” She added, hoping that he would take the small attempt at humor as a sign of her improving mood.

Nathan pushed himself against the door slightly out of self aggravation, but didn’t make a noise. “How can I be so bloody stupid? I upset one of the closest things I have.” He thought to himself. Nathan was truly pathetic, wanting something far out of his reach.. He could have told himself a million times that Amelia didn’t want him in that way, but it just seemed to go out the other ear. What the hell happened to him? At the beginning everything had been cool. He could go on with the teasing back and forth, but over time, he had been getting more and more frustrated and he couldn't fathom why. All he knew was he wanted to be around her more, talk to her more, hang out. He still wanted to sleep with her and all but it had grown a little past that. What the hell was going on in his junkyard of a mind? He knew this was wrong. He knew he shouldn't be with her like this. He knew he shouldn’t have dove into anything else that could warrant a relationship further than friendship. Oh who was he kidding. Guys and girls, it was impossible to be completely platonic and he of all people knew that well. He couldn't believe he was finally bested and what did he have to show for it? Nathan was a wreck, not the usual cocky ass self he was 99% of the time. He didn't know what to make of it. Had she really not known that he liked her for a while? A whirlwind of emotions bottled up within him that kept on growing by the minute. He was angry at himself for acting like a little wimp, angry that he could not have her, confused as to what these 'feelings' were and at the exact same time sad because he couldn't get what he truly wanted.
Her words cut through the silence like knives and suddenly time seemed to stop. He knew right then and there that she had no feelings that way and it felt as if a two ton anvil dropped on his heart, completely crushing it. Feeling heavy and overcome with sadness, he leaned more into his knees for comfort. He let out a small exasperated gasp, unable to breathe properly since he was so overcome with emotion. He had to shut his eyes, forcing himself to slow his heart and take deep breaths. A small portion of his mind had already had distinct feeling that this was always the case, and yet he had hoped and ignored the voice. He wanted to leave, regain his composure if that was even possible and pretend that this moment never happened. However he couldn't tear himself away from her and feared that he wouldn't be able to stand, much less walk away. He had to do something though, anything to break free. She had given him the speech that she couldn’t tell him things? He just out right exposed himself to prior feelings and situations happening in his life and she could tell him something? He assumed that it was something along the lines of “I have another guy in my life, but I don’t want to hurt you.”
He knew he was probably over thinking the entire thing but he couldn’t help himself. The factor of the unknown was the part that really hurt. “I just told you that I have yellow eyes and claws and you have the nerve to say that? Amelia, you don’t want to hurt me? Keeping things from me is what hurts. If its another guy or something, I’ll eventually get over it.” He said in almost a deep growl. He allowed her joke to travel in his mind and right out the other. It had been a while since he got this worked up over something, and he wasn’t ready to let it go. He stayed silent. Only the sounds of his deepened breaths could be heard. It wasn’t until he finally let out a final sigh that he began to speak. “Would you open up the door now? And possibly return to the movie? I hate talking about emotional crap.” He said in his usual tone. Nathan liked to bottle up his emotions and hide them from others. Right now he was emotionally broken that there was something in the world that Amelia couldn’t tell him. But he wasn’t just upset, also rightfully bitter towards it. But it was Amelia, the woman who he hadn’t ever truly gotten angry with. A single tear fell from his aqua shaded orbs, but he brought his arm up quickly to dry up his face. There hadn’t been anything he didn’t want more than to let Amelia see that he was truly upset over the situation. He just wanted to pretend that it never even happened.

Amelia sighed as she waited for Nathan to give her some kind of response, standing from her spot on the floor slowly. She looked to the mirror, a small and strained smile of relief coming to her face as she saw the clear blue orbs she had been accustomed to for 19 years of her life. She wrapped her arms around herself for some kind of comfort, knowing a hug from him would be too much to ask right now. She had hoped to relieve some of the tension between them, but the silence she heard from the other side of the door was proof enough that her attempt to make him crack even a small smile had not helped. She pressed her ear leaned her head against the door, listening to him speak.
And speak he did. Amelia drew back from the door, her mouth slightly agape. He thought she had another guy? As if she had ever even looked at another guy since she had been friends with him. Amelia’s eyes were wide as he spoke his thoughts. She knew that it was out of pain that the accusation had grown, but did he really think he meant so little to her? Did he really mean to make her feel as horrible as he did now?
Amelia, if it were possible, would have almost ripped the door from the hinges as she swung it open with such harsh force as she stood before Nathan, and had to fight back the urge to slap him for what he had just said.
“You know damn well that there is no other guy!” Amelia said, almost yelling at Nathan, her fist clenched at her sides. “There stopped being other guys when I met you.” She added angrily. “Even when we were just becoming friends, I knew you would the only guy I would ever care about more than my own life.”
Amelia had never regretted the epiphany the moment she had realized it. She didn’t remember what it was about him that made her think it, but she had never regretted it since, even now as she stood toe to toe with him. “I remember what you told me in the living room and you’re damn right I have the nerve to say that I can’t tell you what’s wrong with me…and do you know why? It’s because I know what’s going on with me and I know that if we were still on the couch right now, I would have lost you, and it would have been my fault.” She said finally.
“I trust you with every fiber of my being…and I have never ever considered even once that you have ever lied to me since we’ve been friends…” Amelia said looking at him, angry tears beginning to pool in her eyes as she watched the rise and fall of his chest, quickened with ever angered word she uttered towards him. “I’ve never forced you to do anything you didn’t want to do, regardless of whether I knew it was the best choice for you, or if I knew it wouldn’t hurt you at all, and I sure as hell have never made you feel guilty for not doing anything for me, even if you promised me you would.” She spoke angrily, her form shaking with the sorrowful rage she now held inside of her.
“The one time I ask you to trust me without question and you have the nerve, to think that I would lie to you just to make it easier for you? How many times have I yelled at you for doing something completely stupid, regardless of who was around or how hurt you were at the time? “She asked him.
“I know that you’re hurting just as much as I am right now, maybe even more, and normally I wouldn’t even give you the satisfaction of fighting with you, but when you think that you have any right make me stand here feel like crap for not telling you something that I know could take you away from me, I will not take it Nathan Lucas King.” She said angrily.
“I love you a lot, and I’ll still do anything for you, and I don't want to hurt you anymore than I already have," she said, wrapping her arms around herself in another pitiful attempt to give herself comfort."But if you’re going to make me feel guilty for trying to protect you, I’m not going to stand for it.” She said a look of honest determination in her eyes as angry tears began to pool in her eyes. She meant her words, and she knew Nathan would know it. If some horrible instance had happened that moment, she would give her life to make sure he was safe. If he couldn't see that she truly cared for him, she honestly didn't know how their friendship had lasting so long.

His head was overcome by emotions seeping their way into his skin. He loved Amelia with all of his hearts consent but he couldn’t fathom her reasoning. She tore out of the bathroom as soon as he made his assumption about her. It was the only reasoning he had and the only reasoning she would have ripped herself from him. In his experience, if a woman tears herself away she was seeing someone and was feeling guilt. But the disgusted look on her face told him that it was something else, something she really didn’t want to express. Nathan wondered why she couldn’t tell him, because he knew that she should have nothing to hide from him. If she came to him and told her that her favourite meal was a peanut butter and dill pickle sandwich, he still wouldn’t be one to judge. She was something else, someone he knew he would get along with even before he spilt his first word to her. But still, if there was no other guy in her life, would could it have been? A medical problem that she didn’t want to pass on? He brought his eyes up to hers, and immediately on contact just her words and the look on her face caused a blanket of guilt to wrap around him. Yes, he was feeling a strange feeling tonight, a raged feeling but he just couldn’t express it to her. He was fighting his own body from lashing out. It was a similar feeling to the night of the incident, an unavoidable wave of rage.
He shook his head, clearing it from the majority of the prior feeling. “Well, what was I supposed to think? It was the first thing that came to my mind.” He said, avoiding eye contact with her. But as she began talking again, Nathans eyes wandered back up to her. Never once did he want to be the cause of tears. He allowed her to finish talking and getting everything off her mind. If she had something on her mind, she might as well let it all out. His breathing stayed at a quick pace, as he chewed on her lower lip. Though her wording at time were a little cold, he felt as he deserved every word of it. As she finished talking he quickly got up off the ground, and walked over to her slowly, placing one hand on either of her cheeks. He was never good at dealing with people who were angry or upset with him. He usually ended up saying something wrong, like he already did. He kept eye contact and released the grip on his lower lip. “I do-” He began. “I do trust you. I just-, Am confused, that’s all. You would have lost me? Amelia, what does that mean?” He asked, with worry in his facial expression. “And this is probably going to be the first time I ever say this without joking around or because you made me laugh. And I’m horrible at explaining myself.. But I love you too. I mean, a lot, and I don’t want you to cry anymore.” He said, rubbing his thumbs against her cheeks softly. “It was a foolish assumption and I should have kept my mouth shut. I know there there’s no other guy in your life. And quite honestly, I would be crushed if there was.” His tone was soft and gentle, and he looked down as his lips showed off a light smile.
But as his eyes drifted down his smile quickly faded. He backed away from Amelia a few steps, keeping his eyes glued to the ground. A strong sharp beam of pressure travelled up his spine. He clenched his teeth tightly from the pressure which followed by a deep pain in his spine. His feet felt lifeless and he dropped to his knees and shot his hand back to place it on his spine. The pain didn’t subside but only grew. He let out a deep groan and an immediate water build up took place in his eyes. Under his fingers, he felt a slight movement of his spine. “What the hell?” He muttered to himself, feeling tears begin to stream down his cheek. He lowered his head down more, making it only a couple inches off the floor. Nathan had a high pain tolerance and he hadn’t cried over an injury since he was just a young boy. But the pain travelling on his spine was excruciating. It was as if someone was snapping bones in and out of the place. His tears became heavier and he clenched himself in pain once again, letting out a deep groan from his lungs. He didn’t want Amelia to be here through this, he didn’t want her to worry. “You should leave.” He managed to get out before a loud snapping noise echoed the room, which came from his rib cage. A variety of different curse words flooded from his mouth, as he looked up at Amelia his drenched cheeks. “What’s happening?” He asked, looking down again to avoid eye contact.

Amelia could see the pain she was inflicting on Nathan’s emotions, but at the moment she tried not to care. She was hurt as well and if they were ever going to get past it, she would speak her mind, and in turn, let him speak his. She could see him visibly warring with himself, but he seemed to conquer whatever he was warring with for a moment as he began to speak to her. Amelia tried to steady her breathing, wanting to at least try to be less emotional as she waited for him to continue.
She softened slightly as he did, her face no longer holding as much anger as before. She should have known he would jump to that conclusion, being that it had been the case for a few of his other relationships. She still couldn’t help but be a little bit mad at him still for thinking that she would consider doing the same to him. Amelia watched as Nathan stood and walked towards her, stopping just short of her small frame to place his hands over her cheeks.
As he spoke his mind, her barrier she began to create around her heart slowly dissipated, until there was nothing of it left. When he said he loved her, Amelia couldn’t help but smiling, placing her own hands atop of his. She still had his trust, and for that she was grateful, but when questioned about the reasons for her defensiveness, she sighed, down casting her eyes. ”It’s just hard to explain right now Nathan, and I promise I’ll tell you when the time is right, but it’s not now.” She said sadly. “And I’m a girl, so crying is a regular for me, so deal with it.” She added, giving him another smile. “And I love y…-“
Amelia paused mid-sentence, watching him confused as he back away from her. “Nathan? Nathan what’s wrong?“ she asked him quickly, gasping from shock as he was brought to his knees from whatever unseen monster that was wracking through his body. Amelia knew how much pain that Nathan could take, and for him to be brought to tears by whatever this was, it was not at all a good sign. She stood by helplessly, unable to do anything to help him.
Amelia shook her head vigorously, trying to think of an answer for him. “I…I don’t know, I….it’s….it makes no sense…” She said unable to form a coherent sentence. She hadn’t had time to process her thoughts from the hours prior and was completely lost. She dropped to her knees beside him, wanting to touch him and give some kind of comfort, but utterly unable to. She could only watch as her best friend writhed in indescribable pain on the floor.

It was an unbelievable pain, as if he were just stabbed and broken on multiple sections of his body. Between each set of snaps and shifts of the bones, there would be a slight pause of relief in which he could catch his breath. He lifted his head up, wiping his eyes with his arm and took large breaths.
“I don’t know what going on.” He said , his deep exasperated breaths present in his voice. “But you should just-” He said, before his body couched up into a ball again. A few more slow setting movement occurred in the mans vertebrate. He felt hopeless, he couldn’t do anything to subside the pain. Even if he chugged back some pain killers, he would have to overdose on them before the pain subsided. He needed help, but was in no state to go into a hospital. They could have done numerous studies in order to find the core of the problem. He would be like those unknown diagnosis shows on television that talk about weird cases. And even then, he would have to spend the rest of his life getting check-ups in the hospital.
His all thoughts for Amelia faded, at this point the didn’t care if she watched, he didn’t care if she was around. All his thoughts were targeting right to the center of the pain. He allowed himself to drop on to his side, laying on the ground pathetic and hopelessly crying at each individual jabs of pain running throughout his body.
“I know it doesn’t make any sense.” He said, breathing heavily. He couldn’t wrap his head around what was going on. He wondered whether this was his traitorous way of dying. Nathan always knew that he would go down doing one of his stupid stunts one day. But he never imagined to go down on a regular night with his best friend after he royally pissed her off. It wasn’t the right time for that. Nathan brought his hands up to his face, hoping to close his eyes from the world. But it didn’t solve anything, he only ended up whimpering into his hands.
The pain travelled all the way around his body, targeting different joints. Again, Nathans Jaw clenched as he let out a deep groan. His pain tolerance had definitely vanished, he couldn’t take it anymore. He just wanted everything to be done and over with. “Amelia, I cant do this anymore” He cried to himself, lacing his fingering in his own hair. His fingers twirled into his hair, and he tugged on his hair rather roughly. His breathing was now loud, and deep and his body shook along with the visible movements under his skin from his shifting bones. As his eyes opened back up, it was clear. A bright yellow tint to his pupils almost causing them to glow.
OOC: Okay so, you post your post, then we can skip over to after his whole werewolf thing? Maybe during the whole thing he cornered her. Because as a werewolf he cant control himself and he loses himself? And he doesn't even remember what happened. Sound good? xD

Amelia ran her hands through her hair, looking around the room as if the answer to Nathan’s sudden internal attack would jump out at her from the surroundings, but alas, her search was for naught. She began to her eyes welled up slowly with unshed tears as she scrambled to her feet, determined to find some way to make him better. “I’m gonna fix it Nathan, I promise.” She said to him, unable to look at his tear stained face for very long before running into living room, looking for the phone.
After searching for a few moments, Amelia found the device wedged in the cushions of an armchair. She quickly began to dial the city’s emergency hotline, hoping to call for an ambulance or at least get some kind of help to care for him herself. As she waited for someone to pick up she began to sift through her thoughts once more to find any information about Nathan that may be helpful to establish what was wrong.
“After the incident from a month ago, he had been having hallucinations, vivid ones, about having yellow eyes and…..and long nails…..and he’s been way more aggressive than normal, I could tell that….hallucinations about yellow eyes, long nails, and aggression……yellow eyes….long nails….aggression…..yell-” Amelia stopped in the middle of her memorization as a thought hit her.
Yellow eyes…
Long nails…..no, claws….
Aggression…
Amelia visibly shook as the thoughts merged into an idea that she hoped would prove false. “He couldn’t be…..unless, he has the gene…” Amelia’s eyes grew as she looked back to Nathan’s form still writhing on the floor, another loud snap making her anxiousness grow. “There has to be something else!” she pleaded with herself, hoping she was wrong in her assumption. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, she hung up the phone, knowing that if she was right, they would be no help either way.
She began to panic even more as she tried to find a way to disprove her own mind. “He can’t be a werewolf, that’s absurd…but how do I know for sure?” she asked herself. Amelia paced quickly for a moment before the answer snuck up on her. “A full moon, they always change with a-…“ Amelia tossed the phone onto the couch as she ran towards the nearest window, and grabbed the dark, heavy curtains. “He isn’t a werewolf, he isn’t a werewolf.” She said the words like a mantra, trying to keep herself sane as possible as she pulled back the heavy material. “He isn’t a werewolf, he isn’t…”
Amelia couldn’t bring herself to speak the lie once again as she stood in the open pane of the window, the glowing light of the moon bathing her fully. She turned back to where Nathan lie in the hall, unable fathom how this would change the both of them.

OOC: I hope you don’t mind that I just.. Kind have continued it :3. I didn’t want to make another thread for it either seeing as it was just in his apartment still.
The boy laid frightful on the hardwood floor of his hallway. His chest rising and falling from his steady intake of breaths. He looked around quickly before bringing his hands up to site. Nothing was out of place, harmed or drastically hurting anymore. Had it all just been a bad dream? Maybe Amelia hadn’t even arrived yet? Nathan let his eyes linger around the hallway and he blinked once before finally looking down. Am.. I?” He thought to himself. He had no idea how to comprehend it, or how he even wanted to comprehend it. His facial muscles were instantly mutated into a look of sheer confusion. His arms perched him up slightly as he stared down at himself then back up at his apartment. I definitely am” He thought in sheer panic. One minute he was in excruciating pain and the next he blacked out and woke up clothe less in an apartment. He tilted his head slightly to one side and mirrored his raised eyebrow. “I believe you were just date raped” He muttered to himself, running off to his room to throw on a pair of jeans.
Once he was properly dressed he walked out of his room and wandered out into his apartment. He could sense that Amelia still was there but he wasn’t exactly prepared to say anything. He knew that it hadn’t been another one of his hallucinations. And the fact that he wasn’t wearing anything when he woke up was even a bigger question on his mind; possibly an embarrassing one. But hey, it wouldn’t have been the first time Amelia has walked into his doing something weird or unneeded to see. He wandered into his small kitchen and dragged his fingers across the counter top. He always cleaned up everything before Amelia popped over. He thought of her as the type to get angry over little things. Nathan was never the messy kind of guy but he did like to just throw his stuff everywhere, and have random shirts and pants draped over various things in his house; Like the TV, couch, table and sometimes just thrown on the floor. In the morning he usually just hurried out of the house and didn’t take the time to throw his clothes in a laundry basket.
He opened his cabinets in search for something to eat. Something about the whole unknown factor and the weird pain thing made him hungry. “I have goldfish crackers? I wonder how old these things are..?” He muttered, grabbing them out of the cupboard anyways. He fiddled around with the box for a moment, before opening it up and shoving an handful in his mouth in a rather barbaric manner. But he didn’t care, it was only Amelia around, the least judging person ever. She may crack a quick joke about it, but he could never offend her in any kind of way. They’d been friends for too long and he just couldn’t help his hunger. “I feel like I just got raped and murdered from a god. Slightly odd… but I feel amazing” He spoke in a muffled tone from over stuffing stale, childish crackers in his mouth. After he swallowed he looked down at the table and threw his box of crackers behind him. He nearly forgot that Amelia came prepared with various snacks. He hopped down on the couch, and smiled. “You know me so well.” He smiled grabbed an open bag of chips and placing them beside him and grabbing Amelia’s unfinished drink and gulping it down. “Err.. I’ll make you another?” He asked, twirling the glass around in his hand.

Amelia’s eyes fluttered open when she heard noises of movement in the room next to her. After last night’s events, she decided sleeping in the bathtub was her best bet at watching after Nathan without being ripped to shreds as well. She escaped partially unscathed, a surface wound on her side from narrowly escaping his grasp, but she was fine overall. She sat up in her makeshift bed, hearing Nathan’s voice muttering something as he left his room, and stretched before getting out of the tub. Amelia contemplated for a moment whether to check on him this instant to make sure he knew that she was alright, but decided that if he did think that, he would have found her already. She stripped quickly, deciding to take a shower before revealing herself to at least make herself feel better.
After snatching a towel from the rack and wrapping it around herself, she entered his bedroom, running to close the door before he entered accidentally, and got an eyeful of her naked form before looking through his closet for her things. Amelia and Nathan had their share of spare the moment slumber parties, and decided that always having a small suitcase with a few changes of close would be a good idea for the both of them. She slipped on her underwear and bra and sighed in defeat when she wouldn’t find any clothes that didn’t seem to confining right now. She looked around the closet to see if she had another bag, but after her search was unfruitful, she dove into Nathan’s drawers, finding a t-shirt and a pair of his shorts. The clothes swallowed her small frame, but she enjoyed the feeling of comfort it gave her. Combing her fingers through her hair as best she could, she left the bedroom, padding softly into the living room.
She watched Nathan for a moment, leaning against the wall just before one walks into the room. He seemed, for better lack of a word, normal. One wouldn’t know what he had just endured the previous night from the way he was acting. She smiled slightly when he spoke of how well she knew him, watching him attack the bag of chips with fervor. Her mouth dropped open when he downed the rest of her drink and she scoffed slightly when he made his statement.
“Damn, right you will.” She said as she walked towards him, plopping onto the couch next to him.
Amelia looked at him for a moment before an uncontrollable urge to hug him overpowered her. She suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her head in his chest as she did. She was relieved beyond measure, knowing that Nathan was, for now, back in his normal state, and would be until the next full moon, which was thankfully a month away. Amelia smiled against his chest, the normal tempo of his heart speeding up slightly because of the closeness reminding her that he was in his right mind and he recognized her, as he should have. She looked up at him slowly, looking into his eyes for a moment before standing on her toes, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. She pulled back after a few moments, resting her head on his chest once again. “I’m glad you’re back.” She said softly.
After a few more minutes, Amelia pulled away from him, giving him a smile. “I think after last night you’re going to need more than just chips and alcohol to make it through the rest of the day.” She said as she walked into the kitchen and began to look through the cabinets.” Pancakes, eggs, and sausage sound good?” She asked over her shoulder as she found the box of mix she needed. She was trying to ease into the discussion that she knew they would have to have.
That and she was absolutely starving.
She looked over her shoulder, nodding her head over to another cabinet.” Mind grabbing me a bowl?” She asked as she grabbed a few more bottles from the cabinet.

A smile caught his lips as He gazed upon Amelia. Something about her this morning seemed different in which drew him in; but she always was a little odd. Nathan liked her, he liked her a lot as a matter of fact. And the powering feeling wrapped around him as if it were a large heavy blanket. The world this morning was slightly different to look upon, and slightly different to feel. The feeling was not an odd gas leak feeling of the air, more of a hunch or a realization that he couldn’t seem to grasp upon. He felt the slight movement of the couch ruffling under him as she plopped beside him on the couch. A tiring, and overcoming yawn took over and he stretched his arms in the air, waking up his tired muscles from snooze mode. As he yawned his eyes shut tightly, and his back arched back a little. Upon finishing he relaxed back up and opened his eyes, wondering how her sleep was. He knew that he ended up falling asleep in the hallway. But every other time he passed out in a ditch, hallway or even the back of a random trunk was after a few drinks. Did he really have that many drinks to not remember, pass out and not have any kind of hangover? And what was with the pain last night? “Err, so? How did you sleep? I hope my bed.. Or the couch.. Or wherever you slept was good enough.” He said, looking at her curiously.
As she embraced him in a close hug the moment took him off guard a little. He felt his breathing pick up as the pace of his heart did. Amelia was the one to make the first move this time, meaning last nights moment really was real. He wrapped his arms warmly around her pulling her tightly against his skin. Ever since Nathan was born, his skin was always hot to the touch. And he figured Amelia was probably better off that they didn’t end up sleeping in the same bed last night. Sleeping in a room with Nathan was like having a wireless space heater. Over the course of the night, the temperature would rise a couple degrees. Its just how he always was. It was always strange why he liked summer, one would think he would just melt away into nothingness. He bent down in time to be captured into a gentle kiss. The touches of his lips were soft, and he nudged his nose against hers gently. As they remained close, his right hand travelled up her back to rest on the back-side of her neck. He pulled away from the kiss as she did, which he found to be far too soon and tried not to smile. But he couldn’t help it, Nathans smile was brighter than ever. But his smile was signature to his appearance. You couldn’t go an entire ten minutes without getting a good view of a smile shone off his face. And if you did, there was probably something tremendously wrong with him, as there was during the night. “You know, I could get used to that.” He said, still showing off his pearly whites.
He backed away to rummage through the cupboards to find a bowl for Amelia. “That sounds absolutely amazing.” He said grabbing hold of a red bowl on the second shelf of the cabinet. “I think I’ve never been so starved in the morning. Last night was-” He said trailing his words off into silence. He placed the bowl down on the counter in front of her. “Well, It was different. I mean, I kept telling myself all morning that I had one wicked dream. But I’m not so sure-. I think either I’m going a little crazy or.. I really don’t know.” He rambled on, not really knowing what he was talking about. Nathan wasn’t much of a cook and hardly knew how to even boil himself a pot of water. So, trying to dig out things she needed was like a foreign subject to him. Usually he lived off of random food here and there, and never had a nice home-cooked meal. Not knowing what to do, he walked over and wrapped his arms around Amelia’s waist from behind and bent down to lean his head on her shoulder. “Anything else you need?” He smiled before kissing her neck a single time gently.

As Nathan stretched, Amelia couldn’t help but notice the subtle changes in his form. He was always very fit, but something was still different. His body looked….harder, more defined than usually, even his abdomen, which she remembered quite vividly from the night before, as embarrassed as she was to recall, seemed to be cut from stone, as well as the rest of his body. Amelia shook her head slightly, deciding to leave the thoughts out of her mind for the time being, it was too early to be digging into mysteries for the both of them. Amelia couldn’t help but laugh a little bit when Nathan asked how she slept. “Well, although I wouldn’t do it again anytime soon, the tub was actually kind of comfortable.” She said with a shrug. “I could have gone without the bottle of “AXE” body wash spilling in my hair, but after washing with it, I have to admit I do smell good.” She added, sniffing a lock of her hair for added effect.
Amelia couldn’t help but melt a little bit when Nathan wrapped his arms around her. His temperature always ran hotter than other people, but that worked out perfectly because she herself had always run a bit cooler for some reason. She would find any excuse she could just to snuggle up to him and steal his warmth, even if he did have a date present, but she couldn’t help but be a little bit possessive. She let a small giggle escape as Nathan’s nose nudged against her, a smile forming in the middle of the kiss. She shuddered slightly as his hand came to rest at the nape of her neck before pulling away. Amelia raised an eyebrow at his comment and returned the smile coyly.” Well you might as well since I plan on doing it more often.” She said winking at him.
She nodded at his words as he talked about last night. “Well both of us can’t be crazy.” She said as she began pouring things into the bowl. In truth she knew that neither of them was crazy, but she couldn’t just blurt out the truth about last night and expect him to believe her? She mentally pictured how it would end up. “So Nathan, you’re a bloodthirsty raging werewolf…would you pass me the syrup?” She rolled her eyes as she tried to think of some way to bring it up. Amelia smiled as Nathan came up behind her, a small shiver going up her spine as he kissed her neck.
“Well if you want me to actually make some decent pancakes, you might want to stop being so charming and let me focus. I almost poured black pepper in the mix because of you.” She said with a smirk, showing him the said black container in her hand.” And some eggs would be nice please.” She added, turning her head to give him a quick kiss on his cheek.

Nathan was slightly shocked and shook up that she ended up sleeping in the tub the entire night. He allowed a slight chuckle escape from his lips as he pondered the thoughts of how uncomfortable a bathtub would have been to sleep in. He could imagine how sore she must have felt. “Why did you do that? You know you‘re always allowed to sleep in my bed or the couch. Hell, even the floor would have been more comfortable.” He asked. “And I’m glad you like the smell. Its what I smell like.. And I would like to think that I smelled as god-like as I think I do.” He said with a quick wink. He looked at the table, nothing that Amelia brought over really ended up being touched, the drinks remained in the exact same place as they were left, and the cushions on the couch were a little distorted and out of place. He squinted his eyes over at the kitchen, peering to the bottle of tequila. The amount in the bottle still even stood at the same volume. Him and Amelia could have easily finished quite a good chunk of that bottle if something didn’t happen last night that was unexplainable. He couldn’t even wrap his head around it, he swore his bones popped out of place but today he feels better then ever. If Amelia hadn’t been here he would have got up and went for a good jog to ease off some of his new feelings and energies. But his mind wrapped around the most logical explanation as most humans did. He assumed that he had been having the odd visions that he did during the last couple weeks, or it was a nightmare, or maybe he needed surgery? And he figured a good trip to the doctors would be handy some day soon, just to get himself all fixed up.
“You plan on doing it more often? I think I can deal with that.” He said in a playful tone. “But just don’t expect me to talk feelings with you unless you let me down a few drinks.” He said. Nathan hated talking about feelings towards another person. If he liked them, he just wanted them to know that and that was done. But life wasn’t like a magical fairytale in which luck always fell into his hands, he was always forced to talk about it eventually.
They stood in the kitchen and Nathan watched Amelia’s every move. He reasoned that he might as well try to learn something as he someone cooking in front of him. At home, his mother always cooked the meals, or at one point there was a butler. But his father wasn’t home often and fired the butler due to his sneaky suspicion of the relationship status between the butler and his wife. Nathans mother was very traditional and held very specific morals. It was unlike her to ever choose to cheat in a relationship but his father was more of a suspicious, jealous type. Nathan gained lots of his negative traits from his father, but also gained some positive ones from him. He was hard-working and would put his life on the line for his family and loved ones. If he had to leap into the mouth of a volcano for Amelia, he wouldn’t even give a second thought. He figured that she deserved everything he could bear to offer her, and more. And if that was life, he would exchange his for hers. “Do you think you could be a doll and…. Spark my memory then?” He spoke as his eyebrows raised, showing off the creases in his forehead.
And the seconds she began to talk about how he was being a distraction, he laughed. She had almost added a terrible ingredient to the pancakes and he smiled. “Fine, then!” He said before turning his kisses on her neck into something else. He playfully sunk his teeth into her neck and smiled against it. Biting as another of Nate’s favourite things to do, even in intimate moments; though that bite was playful and to distract her more. He backed away, twirling his body around to the fridge and opened it to grab the eggs out of it. “Happy?” He said, placing the eggs in front of her a little rougher then he probably should have.

“Well Nathan I didn’t really have any other options last night.” She said with a shrug. Amelia had thought of sleeping in his bed the idea had be shot she was caught climbing into it, the small wound on her side the price of the mistake. Amelia rubbed now healing scratches lightly, looking back to him. “Besides, I’m fine.” She added trying to leave the subject alone for now. Amelia raised an eyebrow at his comment, rolling her eyes at him. “You are so full of yourself, you know that?” She asked, shaking her head. “Do you want me to leave you alone so you can fawn over how “god-like” you smell?” She asked, adding air quotes when needed.
“Oh you’re going to talk about feelings Mr. King.” Amelia said turning to him, placing a hand on her hip. “After what you put me through last night, I plan on making sure we’re both on the same page about everything, no matter how many feelings get involved.” She said in a matter of fact tone as she grabbed a pan and sprayed the inside with cooking spray. When asked to spark his memory, Amelia hesitated for a moment. She pondered the memory for a moment as she set the stove’s temperature, waiting for it to heat enough to pour the mix. How exactly was she going to start off? It wasn’t something that you can usually just jump into. “Well, we were….Nathan!”
Amelia squealed as Nathan’s teeth dug into the flesh of her neck. One would think that after being friends with him for so long, the occasional “love bites” as she liked to call them, wouldn’t surprise her as much, but then again, this was Amelia. She stuck out her bottom lip in a full blown pout, rubbing the spot on her neck as she watched Nathan retrieve the eggs she had asked for before sticking her tongue out at him as she poured the pancake mix into the pan, the smell of blueberry pancakes beginning to fill the small area. Amelia looked to Nathan once again, raising her eyebrow.
“You are despicable Nathan King.” Amelia said, placing her hand on her hip, which was decidedly a bad move, since it was the area of the wound she received. The scratch itself caused her no pain, but the sudden pressure on the still very alive nerves was no joke. Amelia grimaced, a slight groan escaping her mouth before she leaned on the counter, the throbbing pain slowly ebbed down her legs.

“Oh.” He simply said, keeping a strange gaze upon Amelia. She was different, always different but he never thought she would have been strange enough to sleep in a bathtub? Maybe she was sick last night and passed out in there? Either way he didn’t feel like questioning it anymore and chose to drop the subject. As long as she ended up sleeping somewhere, it wasn’t the worst spot she had probably fallen asleep. “Oh come on now, I wouldn’t be me without my large ego. Blame my parents on that one. They were the ones that dressed me in $300 jeans everyday to school.” He said with a slight smirk peering through his lips.
“Maybe. It depends what kind of feelings you want to talk. I’m not into the whole crying thing though. It freaks me out.” He said and then pursed his lips at the thought. When someone was upset, Nathan would always be there but that didn’t stop the fact that he never knew what to do. He thought of someone upset as extremely fragile and could shatter if handled improperly. The fact that his love bite completely caught her off guard was enough to satisfy him. He tilted his head back and smiled, his jaw slightly parted as he made a long dragged out noise before he decided to speak. “you’d think you would be used to that by now.” He said with a slight laugh and pointed over at her. “I have a liking to bite and be bitten.” He said with a shrug and placing his hands on the counter, watching Amelia spray a pan with cooking spray. He always enjoyed Amelia’s cooking and felt that she didn’t need to get up and cook him something. He was fine with just a simple bite of cereal washed down by some black coffee.
“Yeah yeah, I know I-” He said before pausing and watching Amelia bent over in easing pain. Nathans eyes widened as he watched her body become tense, and ease on the side of the counter. “Amelia, what’s wrong?” He asked, looking over at her hand cupping her hip. This can’t be. First it was last night with himself now today with Amelia? What was going on here? Did he have some crazy ghost that liked to induce pain? He knew that he shouldn’t have and you aren’t supposed to really touch someone whilst their in pain but he barged close, sliding the side of her shirt up. Under her shirt were a few scratches into her pale flesh. Around them were red and the skin tissue was a little swollen. “W-what the..? Amelia?” He said, having a strong flashback from the night before.
It was his home, a creature on the prowl. And the memory of terror and a loud treacherous growl. But it couldn’t be? This is absolutely crazy and unrealistic. “Did I..?” He managed to say, still staring down at the scratches on her side.
